Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year from all of us!

From Everyone at The Forest Podiatry we would like to wish all our friends and loyal clients a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with excitement and joy! We cannot thank you enough for all your support in 2015, we have had a wonderful time helping to make your feet happy and healthy. We look forward to continuing the care in the years to come!  The practice will close for Christmas on 23 December, reopening on 5 January 2016.

I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge my gratefulness for my wonderful team. I’m truly blessed to have a team culture based on love and respect, which I hope you know extends to our love for your feet! Thank you Ashley, Julia, Vicki and Cherie for your faithfulness, hardworking, can-do attitudes which continue to provide invaluable support to me every day.

With the holidays finally here it’s time to put the feet up and relax. Here are a few things you can do at home to give your feet a little tender loving care.

1. Self-massage of the foot with a tennis ball or golf ball is as easy as placing the ball on the ground under the foot and rolling the foot over the foot to work out any of those tired muscles. Put as much or as little pressure on the ball as you please for as long as you fancy.

2. Moisturising the feet is a must when going barefoot, in sandals or thongs over summer. This summer it’s important to invest in a moisturiser high in Urea.  In which case, Walker’s Urea or Callusan is perfect, both these products have a high concentration of Urea to allow for intense moisture replenishment.

3. Book in with The Forest Podiatry for the ultimate foot pamper package. It includes a general treatment with nails trimmed, all callus and thickened skin removed and a paraffin wax foot bath.

Thank you for your continued support this year, we do appreciate it. Sophia, Ashley and Julia look forward to continuing to attend to your foot health needs in 2016, and Vicki and Cherie to welcoming you in reception. In the meantime, remember to show your feet some love as summer arrives!
